A Visit from Mimi and Pa

We had a great weekend with Mimi and Pa visiting from Pennsylvania! After they arrived and settled in on Thursday afternoon, we all got up Friday and went for a bike ride. Tommy loves feeling the wind in his face while he kicks back and enjoys the ride. We stopped for a water break at a little playground where Tommy went for his first ride on the teeter-totter, and went down the slide about 20 times. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring the camera, so these fun events were not captured on "film".

On Saturday, we all went to Asheville to meet Shawn for lunch.

After lunch, we walked around the city a bit before riding home on

the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a beautiful day! We enjoyed the view from an overlook and let Tommy stretch his legs.

To make up for forgetting the camera on our bike ride, we recreated the playground activities on Sunday afternoon with a trip to Jackson park. Tommy loves the slide!

Tommy also got to hang from the monkey bars and do some climbing.

Needless to say, Tommy had a great weekend spending time with his Mimi and Pa! Now we're back to the daily routine, but always looking for more adventures. Who knows where Tommy will end up next?!
