It's been awhile. . .

. . . since our last post. About 8 months in fact. As you can imagine, a lot has happened during those months. Here, for your enjoyment, is a list of the important things that Tommy has done since January:

He watched one of his football teams (Tommy gets to make the final decision as to where his loyalty will untimately lie - with the Skins or the Pats) win (another!!) Superbowl Championship.

In February, he saw his first snow.

Tommy abandoned the floor for higher ground - he learned to climb.

He searched through his first Easter basket on his First Easter.

Attended his first wedding for family friends Josh and Julia who were married in Kentucky (11 hours round trip). And guess who was there?! Sweet little Lilly. As you can see, Tommy and Lilly love spending time together!

About a month later, Tommy travelled to Vermont (about 32 hours round trip!) to his second wedding for family friends Brandon and Amber, where he enjoyed a wonderful weekend of visiting with his Nanny, great-aunts and uncles, cousins and his Aunt Bear who made the long trip up with us. He didn't actually attend the wedding, but he was in the same state. Close enough. Hopefully there will be pictures from our weekend up here soon.

During our long trip to VT, we stayed overnight in PA with Tommy's Mimi, Pa, Aunt Dani and Aunt Bear. We had several visitors during the few hours we were there, but there was one in particular that was especially exciting. Tommy got to meet his bf Henry (handsome little devil!) for the first time!

A couple weeks later, Tommy attended his first (and probably his last) bridal shower in PA (16 hours round trip). He had a wonderful time celebrating with Aunt Dani, and even got to help open a few gifts.

The very next weekend, Tommy celebrated his First Birthday! Can't believe how fast a year flies by. Gramma came down to join in the festivities which included a 5 mile hike in the morning, opening presents in the afternoon and destroying a piece of cake in the evening.

The very next weekend, Tommy celebrated in PA (16 hours round trip) with Mimi, Pa, Aunt Dani, Uncle Matt and Aunt Bear . . . and destroyed another piece of cake!

That same weekend, Tommy attended his third wedding for family friends Megan and Justin.

After the wedding, Tommy spent some time with cousin Shawn and Amber where he swam in a pool for the first time. Turns out, he loves the water!

Tommy continued his travelling with a trip to Sandbridge Beach in Virginia (about 14 hours round trip), where he played in the sand, sprayed himself with the hose, swam in the pool and played with his Gramma, aunt and uncles, lots of cousins and great-aunts and uncles.

We all had a wonderful time!

During his week at the beach, Tommy learned how to blow bubbles . . . sort of.

After the beach, Tommy spent one quick week at home before hopping back in the car for one last Summer trip. We travelled back up to PA (16 hours round trip) for wedding #4 - Aunt Dani and Uncle Matt! (More pictures to come.)

After the wedding, we stayed in PA for the week to spend time with family who had gathered to celebrate. Tommy had many adventures which included swimming at the lake,

watering the flowers,

Oh wait, that was when we tried to take him inside to bed. Here's the happy one -

Taking a little time to watch the clouds go by,

And spending some quality time with his bf Henry.

A fun week was had by all.

And last but not least, most recently, Tommy has enjoyed his first bike ride!

As you can see, Tommy has had lots of exciting adventures and "firsts" during our 8 month hiatus from the world of blogging. We'll try to update more frequently in the future! Hope you enjoyed this little summary!
