Tuesday was my last day of work for awhile since we're getting ready for the baby. Lots of cleaning up, putting away, and straightening up has been going on (not to mention lawn mowing and weeding - trying to get the ball rolling a little bit, but so far, no such luck). But when there's an energetic four-year-old in the picture, there has to be lots of fun in the middle of all the chores. So Tommy and I have been busy busy in the kitchen creating some good things to eat and some fun things to play with. After making our bread last week, this week we decided to try english muffins. Everyone at our house loves english muffins with eggs and cheese, or butter and tomato, or jam or honey. When I first looked at the recipe, I was a little nervous about the whole process since instead of throwing them in the oven, you cook them on a griddle. But it couldn't have been easier, and the results are so good. The recipe makes 12 muffins, but there's only 11 in the picture because Tommy and I had already toasted one up with butter and jam. YUM! Yesterday, we decided to try our hand at some homemade playdoh. Again, the results were great, and have already provided hours of quiet entertainment! Happy Friday!
