A Day at the Farm
Last weekend, Tommy and I headed down to Cotton Plains Farm to pick up our tomato plants and visit awhile with Gussy and Uncle Joe. Tommy practically wore out the steps into each tractor climbing in and out and back in all day long. But don't turn any of them on! We got to see the cutest barn kitties, two brown dogs, and plenty of pretty rows of cotton and beans. Tommy threw sticks into the water for Belle to retrieve, picked asparagus and turnips, drove the Gator, got to watch soybeans get vacuumed from a big bin into the seed drill, swatted flies off of poor old OP dog, and finally, he was able to taste the fruits of his labor. His lunch on Saturday consisted of turnips (which he was hoarding all for himself!), asparagus, apple slices, and strawberries. Can't get much better than that! It was definitely a great weekend! Can't wait to go back again soon!
