I'm Gonna Eat Some Candy Canes...

. . . I'm gonna eat some chocolate chips and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of FUDGE! Oh yes, how many times did we hear that song at Gramma's house?! Too many to count!

We're back from our amazing Christmas vacation! What a time we had visiting family and friends in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Ten days went by too quickly, but it was also nice to be home again in the space we know so well. It's been a challenge getting things in order now that we have new toys and clothes to find homes for - in fact, I'm still working on it. It's a good excuse to get a jump on spring cleaning and go through all the closets making a pile of things to recycle or give away.

Normally, this time of year using the phrase"spring cleaning" would be a little premature, however, it seems quite appropriate with the positively balmy weather we're experiencing here in WNC. I walked out this morning and there are buds on some of the trees and birds singing like it's a morning in April instead of January. Strange, but nice to be able to take Tommy out for a stroll around the park to work out some of his energy.

Tommy seems to finally be on the mend after picking up yet another cold while we were in PA. Again, apologies to those who had to endure his bad mood and grumpy disposition. I know you understand, but still, I wish he had been feeling better and in his best Tommy mood. Poor guy.

I'm sure you're reading this right now thinking, "yes, all that is well and good, but where are the pictures??" Well, the truth is, I don't have any. Nope, not a single one. Our Nikon died practically the minute we got to Gramma's house (now that I have a new camera case, I won't be forgetting the charger anymore) and shortly after, the Cannon batteries died as well. I should have gone straight to the store and gotten some new ones, but. . . well, I have no excuses. I just didn't do it. Lucky for us, there were others who were snapping pictures practically nonstop. Aunt Ki-Ki and Gatty, can you please send pictures when you get a chance?! And anyone else who might have some cute ones, please send them!!

For now, I'll leave you with a couple cute pictures of Tommy from last Christmas:

Happy Monday!
